A strategically-placed QR code is sure to attract attention from some and the ire of others. Although one may wonder exactly what Internet site a scan of the QR code will send viewers, it actually advances interested parties to the TVG Mobile platform.
A popular advance-deposit wagering platform and racing channel owned by Betfair, TVG has launched a promotional campaign designed to attract customers who wager with mobile devices or tablets.
To dramatize the campaign, Sutherland, who has endorsed the company since last year, will ride with a TVG logo on a pants leg and a TVG Mobile QR code adorned to the seat of her pants through the end of the Del Mar meet.
“TVG Mobile is an important growth area for us and according to research offers a great opportunity to expand the racing business,” said Don Scott, TVG Betfair vice president of marketing. “Recognizing that, we have developed a series of promotions to reward customers who are already making use of the platform and to encourage others to add it to their wagering repertoire. Bringing someone as popular and talented as Chantal on board as part of the campaign can only help spread the word.”
